Carol, a Democrat elected in 1994, took office January of 1995. Carol represents District 1, which covers South Plains to Belknap.Carol is married to Tim Brooker and has one son, Anders, who lives in Missoula, Montana.

J. Gail Patton, Commissioner

Gail, a Republican elected in 1998, took office in January of 1999. Gails District 2, covers the eastern portion of Sanders County, which includes Dixon, Hot Springs, Lonepine, Paradise, North Plains and Lynch Creek. Gail was born and raised on a ranch in Lonepine. Education: Masters in Agricultural Economics from Montana State. He worked 5 years as a statistician for the Department of Agriculture in Oregon and Iowa. He has ranched in the Hot Springs area since.

Anthony B. "Tony" Cox, Commissioner

Tony, a Republican elected in 2008 took office January 2009. Tony's district #3 covers the western portion of Sanders County, which includes Belknap, Whitepine, Trout Creek, Noxon, and Heron. Tony and his wife Nanette have four children and live at Belknap. Tony is a retired Trooper of the Montana Highway Patrol and is a graduate of Thompson Falls High School and the University of Montana.
