Sanders County Community Development Corporation's mission is to study and promote existing businesses and improve community infrastructure as a means of meeting the economic needs of rural Sanders County. SCCDC develops, promotes and coordinates educational programs, technical assistance and research on retaining and expanding existing businesses. As a strategy to improve the rural economy in Montana, SCCDC focuses on implementing "value added" processing of Montana's raw products. Who and What is the Sanders County Community Development Corporation (SCCDC)? SCCDC is a private non-profit corporation funded in part by Lake County Community Development Corporation through a grant from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development; the Montana Certified Communities Program; Sanders County and donations from private industry. SCCDC is managed by a twelve member volunteer board of directors representing communities throughout Sanders County. What does SCCDC do? Helps communities in Sanders County assess and develop this infrastructure. Promotes the development of new businesses and the improvement of existing businesses. Provides an alternative for addressing rural development issues, especially focused on research and development of "value added"enterprises. Provides "business incubation" assistance to prospective enterprises. Assists with "technology transfer" to enable those enterprises to operate profitably. Who is involved with the SCCDC?
