Motor Vehicles
Your property taxes can be paid by using credit cards, cash or checks. Credit Card payments will be charged a 3% convenience fee. We will need your tax identification (Tax ID) number or we can search for the owner name.

Refuse District
Sanders County Refuse District is a not-for-profit enterprise business that encompasses a Transfer Site in Thompson Falls and Roll Off Sites in Plains, Trout Creek, Noxon, and Heron. This District and the Dixon Refuse District are governed by the Board of Commissioners.

Road Department
Sanders County will be accepting applications for dust control using magnesium chloride, only on county maintained gravel roads. Magnesium Chloride is a temporary product that is not guaranteed to completely suppress dust.

Your county assigned address is part of a system of emergency services, atlas, maps, and computer data information that is utilized by all 911 emergency service units.

Superintendent of Schools
Montana law (20-5-109 MCA) requires parents who home school their children to annually notify the County Superintendent of Schools.

Tobacco Education Specialist
The mission of Sanders County Tobacco Prevention Program is to improve the health of Sanders County residents by reducing exposure to secondhand smoke and by reducing tobacco and nicotine use among all ages and populations. Sanders County Tobacco Prevention efforts have been in existence since June 1999.

Treasurer
The Treasurer’s Office is the collection and distribution center for all taxes in Sanders County. While the vast majority of taxes are paid on or before the due date, a substantial effort is made to collect taxes which go delinquent.
